Cheung highlighted the success of the sea-air intermodal transshipment service between the airport and the Dongguan Logistics Park, which processed cargo valued at RMB30 billion (USD4 billion) from April 2023 to June 2025.<br><br>\u201cConstruction of the permanent facility for the logistics park began in July this year, with the first phase targeted to commence operations in the first half of 2027,\u201d she said.&nbsp;<br><br>We also note that Cheung said HKG\u2019s strategy is to collaborate with industry partners to develop into Asia\u2019s leading e-commerce fulfillment hub.
