The U-Freight Group, which has a strong presence in the expedited international airfreight business, as well as being an early entrant into the world of e-commerce logistics notes some interesting reports emanating from the recent e-commerce forum held in Liège, Belgium.

The Cargo Forwarder Global website includes an article that examines how almost all the airlines and airports alike are adapting to the explosive state of affairs of e-commerce, and how technology will have to follow suit.  

It reports that at the event, leading airline executives discussed the impact of e-commerce on their operations; and pointed to their experience of full freighter aircraft, high shipment volumes, but a gap between capacity demand and transport offer.
