Hong Kong’s three-runway system set to launch
2024-11-15
News

With our headquarters, as well as several freight and logistics hubs in the city, we welcome the news that the Three-runway System (3RS) at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is targeted to be commissioned on 28 November 2024.

Reports indicate that after the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) has acquired the aerodrome licence and the 3RS has been commissioned, all three runways will be operating under the 3RS.

This expansion aims to enhance HKIA's capacity to handle 120 million passengers and 10 million tonnes of cargo annually, reinforcing its status as a global aviation hub.
