According to a recent report on the Loadstar website, Maersk has issued a warning that congestion levels are set to rise at ports across Northern Europe, and customers should expect schedule disruption.
That is interesting news for the U-Freight Group with our comprehensive portfolio of international container shipping services for both LCL and FCL import and export cargoes. Our ocean freight teams will be doing everything they can to overcome any disruption.
The Loadstar report indicated that the Danish carrier warned its customers of “increasing congestion levels and operational disruptions,” highlighting Antwerp-Bruges and Bremerhaven as particular choke points.
It added that according to maritime intelligence database eeSea, 41% of the vessels at Antwerp are waiting for a berth, with 52 more containerships on their way to the Belgian port. At Bremerhaven, 29% of vessels are waiting, with 27 ships incoming.
