U-Freight Group honoured at HAFFA 60th anniversary gala

The U-Freight Group’s long-standing membership of the Hong Kong Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics (HAFFA) was recognised at the association’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration Gala Dinner, held at the Grand Ballroom of Hong Kong’s Hopewell Hotel.

The milestone event brought together nearly 800 industry leaders, government officials, and logistics professionals to celebrate six decades of excellence in Hong Kong’s freight forwarding and logistics sector.

U-Freight received a Long-Time Member Recognition Award, marking 54 years of dedicated and continuous support to HAFFA. This recognition underscores the Group’s longstanding commitment to advancing the logistics industry and contributing to Hong Kong’s position as a leading global logistics hub.

The gala was officiated by Guest of Honour Ms Mabel Chan, Hong Kong Secretary for Transport and Logistics, alongside distinguished guests including Mr Chan Tsz Tat, Commissioner of Customs & Excise; The Honourable Captain Lothair Lam, Legislative Council Member (Transport Functional Constituency); and Captain Victor Liu, Director General of Civil Aviation.

On receiving the award, Simon Wong, chief executive officer of the U-Freight Group said: “HAFFA was established in1966; two years before U-Freight was launched, and we joined the association in 1972.

“As one of its longest standing members, our staff have played a significant role in the association’s various committees and helped HAFFA in many ways; contributing to the association’s achievements, particularly its role in driving innovation, strengthening industry standards, and fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors.

“HAFFA remains a strong advocate for the industry, and for its members as it continues to champion innovation, professionalism, and sustainable growth.

“The U-Freight Group congratulates HAFFA on its 60th anniversary and reaffirms its commitment to supporting the association’s mission and the continued development of Hong Kong’s logistics industry.”
