The news that NYK Group\u2019s subsidiary Yusen Logistics (Europe) has committed to acquire the healthcare logistics business of the Walden Group through the acquisition of the entire share capital of Movianto International is very interesting for U-Freight.

Specialising in the healthcare industry, the Walden Group provides contract logistics, 4PL, first mile transportation and distribution services from 138 locations in 12 countries throughout Europe.

Yusen Logistics Group has positioned healthcare logistics as a key growth area and has been strengthening its capabilities in medical and pharmaceutical logistics globally through its group companies.

The U-Freight Group is also keen to develop its presence in the medical and healthcare sector.

Last year, we signed a logistics partnership with Shanghai Hongyu Supply Chain Management, to capitalise on the latter’s experience in China’s medical and healthcare sector and UFL’s presence in international freight forwarding and logistics.

This cooperation between our two companies sees us sharing resources to develop complementary domestic and foreign supply chain management networks, incorporating transportation, storage and associated logistics services.
